Jerry Rice was one of the greatest NFl players because of his incredible catches, his amazing highlights and lastly his records that will probaly never be broken. Jerry Rice was born on October 13, 1962 in Starkville, Mississippi. He was drafted out of college as the 1st round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 1985. In 1986 , Rice recorded a season perhaps the best out of any receiver at the time. That year he caught 86 passes for a league leading 1,570 yards as well as 15 touchdown catches from the team's quarterback Joe Montana. the next season Jerry Rice would brake the record for most touchdowns in a season with 22. No receiver in the NFL played more than Jerry rices 20 seasons. He was ranked by the NFL as the 2nd best player of all time.
